Caroline Putnam says her experience with Columbus Speech and Hearing Center is “the best experience I’ve ever had with hearing aids.” Born with hearing loss, Caroline started working with the audiology team here in 2023 after transitioning from her pediatric audiologist. She has been using hearing aids since childhood and trusted that she would have the same positive experience at the Center as her mom had.
As a nursing student, hearing aids are an important part of her college experience. “Oh boy, I wouldn’t be able to do my classes if I didn’t have hearing aids,” she said. “I’ve waited so long to hear better and I finally do. I love coming to Columbus Speech and Hearing.”
Caroline has found that her relationship with her audiologist has been key to how well her hearing aids function. “In conversations with my audiologist, I noted that when my dog barks, the hearing aids are too loud. She was so understanding and said, ‘there is a setting for that.’” Caroline said. “She was able to help me solve these issues.”
Now, Caroline urges anyone with hearing loss to seek services as soon as possible.
“You never realize how much you’re missing out on until you can actually hear what you’ve been missing,” Caroline said.
