Working on speech and language goals at home can be challenging. A fun idea to help practice a little every day is to use National days. National days help us celebrate every day in a fun way and are great for working on a variety of speech and language goals. You can use Google to find a National day calendar<\/a> and then use your creativity to make working on goals at home fun! Below are some National days and ideas to address goals.<\/p>

Expressive Language:<\/strong> Naming ingredients to make a recipe, naming pictures in a book, provide phrases\/sentences for your child to imitate during activities and while playing, use signs\/AAC device, answering questions<\/p>

Receptive Language:<\/strong> Following directions to make a recipe, naming objects for your child to find and color in a coloring book, have your child help you find items needed for activities<\/p>

Fluency:<\/strong> Practicing easy\/stretchy speech in words, sentences or conversation during activities<\/p>
