Following a comprehensive review of our operations, Columbus Speech & Hearing has made the difficult decision to transition our clinic-based speech services to other providers in the area. This change is the result of ongoing financial pressures, including rising operating costs, stagnant reimbursement rates, and a funding environment that has made it increasingly challenging for us to sustain speech clinic services at the level of quality and consistency our clients deserve.
Our last day of providing speech clinic services is December 16, 2025. The Speech Department officially closes on December 23, 2025.
This change affects our clinic-based speech services only. Columbus Speech & Hearing will continue to provide school-based speech services, audiology services, ASL instruction, and Support Service Provider (SSP) services. Our audiology offices will remain open in Clintonville, Westerville, and Dublin.
Please know that this decision was not made lightly. We understand the trust you place in your speech provider, and our priority is to ensure that you have the support, information, and resources you need during this transition. Below is a list of referral providers in the central Ohio area, as well as at-home speech practice tips for families.
