Columbus Speech & Hearing has immediate openings for part-time Speech Language Pathologists. Speech Pathologists at CSH gain valuable experience working with diverse clients in a collaborative, non-profit clinic that has been a part of the community for over 100 years. We provide crucial access to families in need of speech and language services. This position is non-exempt and will require late afternoon/evening hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
- Manage clinical caseload for all assigned clients. Clinical responsibilities include completing screenings, evaluations, treatment and/or consultative recommendations, generating all necessary client documentation, providing volunteer training/supervision if indicated, and meeting the high standards of the organization as described in our mission, vision, and core values.
- Provide services at 510 E.N. Broadway, Columbus OH 43214
- Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in CSH and departmental manuals (ex. meeting deadlines for documentation, adhering to attendance standards, adhering to the dress code, etc.).
- Work with the Director of Clinical Services to determine a work schedule that meets the needs of the organization.
- Create and meet annual goals as a part of the performance review process, including meeting department productivity standards.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES
- Master’s degree in speech/language pathology.
- Hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Hold or be actively acquiring a license in speech pathology from the State of Ohio.
- Hold license in speech pathology from the Ohio Department of Education, if necessary.
- Meet the health standards of the Ohio Department of Health, if required as a part of a specific clinical assignment (ex. preschool, school contract).
- Physical requirements: must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, must be able to sit on the floor to interact with young children for extended periods of time, and must be able to move efficiently and quickly from one position to another.
