We are a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to improving communication through Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology services. We’re seeking a Client Services Scheduling Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven healthcare environment and loves helping people. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients and families, ensuring smooth scheduling, accurate billing, and a welcoming experience for every client.
What You’ll Do
The Client Services Scheduling Specialist manages appointment scheduling, insurance verification, payments, and front-desk support for the Speech and Audiology departments. You’ll help keep provider schedules productive while ensuring every patient and family has a seamless, positive experience.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Client Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate appointments for speech and audiology services
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, families, and clinicians to coordinate care and answer questions
Insurance & Billing Support
- Verify insurance coverage and collect co-pays and outstanding balances
- Obtain necessary authorizations, pre-authorizations, and re-authorizations
Administrative Support
- Manage electronic medical records and ensure accurate documentation
- Assist with provider schedule optimization and attendance monitoring
- Cross-train across Speech and Audiology front office functions as needed
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of healthcare office or medical scheduling experience
- Experience with EMR and scheduling systems
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or another commonly spoken language
- Experience in speech-language pathology or audiology offices
- Familiarity with Medicaid or managed care insurance
- Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven healthcare setting
- Experience coordinating schedules across multiple providers and locations
