In January’s Staff Spotlight, we are featuring Sarah Denman. Sarah is an exceptional speech-language pathologist and has been with Columbus Speech & Hearing since 2016- going on six years! Sara earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology & Bachelor’s in Speech & Hearing Science from The Ohio State University.
A recipient 2020 Walter & Marian English Award, Sarah specializes in Oromyofucntional Disorders, a unique, abnormal movement patterns of the face and mouth. Sara also works with clients on articulation and receptive/expressive language. In 2021 Sarah attended “understanding the Orofacial Complex” through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) and “Introduction to PROMPT: Technique” through the PROMPT Institute.
Sarah’s favorite part of being an SLP is “every day is different! I genuinely have fun, feel challenged, and never feel bored.”
Sarah, always up for an adventure, has eaten Tarantula while traveling in Cambodia!
